Brews & Canoes: Have a beer with cross-country kayaker
Daniel Alvarez will stop in Minneapolis Friday, Sept. 28 on his epic cross-country kayak trip from Lake of the Woods in northern Minnesota to the Florida Keys. The Friends is proud to be hosting a party for him with Indeed Brewing Company at their brewery and taproom in northeast Minneapolis.
We will hear about Daniel’s trip so far, which has included paddling through Voyageurs National Park, the Boundary Waters, Lake Superior, and the St. Louis and Mississippi Rivers. Read his excellent blog and learn more about his trip on his website. There will also be a raffle for a few growlers of Indeed’s beer.
Daniel is not only on a grand adventure, funded by an Outside Magazine grant, but he is also supporting conservation organizations along the way with financial support and excellent outreach about issues affecting the waterways he is traveling.
Indeed Brewing is one of Minnesota’s newest brewhouses and taprooms, and is a member of 1% for the Planet, a global alliance of businesses that donate 1% of its gross revenue to organizations that help preserve and restore our natural environment. Their beer is simply delicious, too.
