I am rethinking whether I want to buy a property on Birch Lake, site of exploration drilling by Franconia Minerals Corp. Does anyone know of successful (that is, safe from contamination) underwater drilling such as this company proposes?

Dale – Thanks for the note. What you’ve seen so far is just a one minute trailer to pique interest in the film.

The whole thing is about 25 minutes long and let me just say that based on what you say you want to see in it, I think you’re going to like it. We stress exactly the points you raise: the proximity to the BWCAW and the implications this has for kids and future generations.

Excellent film more should be said on what watersheds will be affected. Especially the area if mined on the Kawishiwi river on the Spruce road area. This area all flows north to Hudson bay area and sits right on the edge of the BWCA. Also you could have a few young children looking at their future .As the film says whats more valuable the BWCA area or the mining.

Excellent! Please provide each member of the Minnesota Legislature with a copy. Ask constiuents of each policy maker to followup with phone calls or emails asking staffers and the legislators what they think about the movie. What their position is. What their questions are.
