One of the reasons many of us love the Boundary Waters is its clean, clear air. But pollution from coal plants, taconite facilities, and other sources in northern Minnesota is threatening the that air, making it unhealthy to breathe and reducing visibility.

The Friends joined the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy, the National Parks Conservation Association and Voyageurs National Park Association in submitting comments to the MPCA in response to the draft plan proposed by that agency.
