Named after the French-Canadian paddlers who traversed these waters 200 years ago, Voyageurs National Park is located immediately northwest of the BWCAW in northern Minnesota. Voyageurs is a water-based park; over one-third is interconnected lakes and wetlands. Its largest lake, Rainy Lake, straddles the Minnesota-Ontario border.
