Virtual Presentation: Debunking Myths about sulfide mining and the Green economy

Virtual Presentation

Recycled copper

You’ve probably heard that we need to mine near the Boundary Waters in order to get the metals to build a green economy. “If we want solar power and electric cars, we must mine!”

Don’t believe it.

Join us on Wednesday, July 14 for a Lunch with the Friends program where we will look at the claims made by pro-sulfide mining allies and weigh them against the facts so that you can make a more informed decision.

Some of the questions that we’ll explore are: Is the United States using more copper? Is there a shortage of copper in the world? How much metal would Twin Metals and PolyMet actually produce? What about metal recycling?
