You’re invited to the Friends’ annual Northwoods Gala! Join a community of advocates, explorers and wilderness lovers for an evening of celebration to support Friends’ mission to protect the Boundary Waters and connect people of all backgrounds to the wilderness.
The Friends Gala this Saturday night is sold out. But everyone can participate in the fun by bidding in our silent auction. Outdoor gear, unique experiences, tickets, dinners + other fun and exciting items — all to further our mission to protect the BWCA!

Getting to the Event and parking
The Gala will take place at:

Parking is kitty corner from the venue. We will have volunteers there to help guests make their way to our Gala.
Attire
We like to say that our dress code is something like “Northwoods meets cocktail hour”. And while our event will be indoors with a seated meal, we want you to be comfortable, so wear what will make for an enjoyable evening!
Event Schedule
5-7pm
Registration, Silent Auction, hors d’oeuvres and drinks including cider, beer and cocktails from our Partners, Minneapolis Cider Co, Vikre Distillery, Blackstack Brewing and Lake Monster!
7-9:00pm
Silent Auction Close, Dinner & Program with Conservation Award winner Ann E. Cohen and our Live Auction which is available now to preview!
9:00-10:00pm
Event Concludes – Check Out and post-dinner cocktails.

Take a look at our array of fun and unique items and adventures on our Silent Auction website. You may have already received an email and know that you can start bidding now. Don’t worry though – you’ll have time to view these in person on Friday and we’ll close the bidding at the event
Accessibility
Elevators to the tunnel can be accessed through the parking ramp. Follow signs in the tunnel to our Event space. To arrange accommodations in advanced please contact us at the email below.

Funds raised at the Northwoods Gala go to support Friends’ diverse advocacy efforts to protect the Boundary Waters. From mobilizing communities to protect clean water, to sending underserved kids on life-changing canoe experiences in the Boundary Waters, these efforts help realize a future where all people can experience the magic of the wilderness and support its protection.
