Friends of the Boundary Waters’ Northwoods Gala brings together a community of advocates, explorers and wilderness lovers for an evening of celebration to support Friends’ mission to protect the Boundary Waters and connect people of all backgrounds to the wilderness.

Funds raised at the Northwoods Gala go to support Friends’ diverse advocacy efforts to protect the Boundary Waters. From mobilizing communities to protect clean water, to sending underserved kids on life-changing canoe experiences in the Boundary Waters, these efforts help realize a future where all people can experience the magic of the wilderness and support its protection.

Frequently Asked Questions
What should I wear?
We like to say that our dress code is something like “Northwoods meets cocktail hour”. And while our event will be indoors with a seated meal, we want you to be comfortable, so wear what will make for an enjoyable evening!
What can I expect at the Event?
5pm – 7pm: Registration, silent auction, hors d’oeuvres and drinks
7pm – 9pm: Silent auction close, dinner & program with Conservation Award presentation, live auction, and fund-a-need
9pm – 10pm: Event concludes – check out and post-dinner cocktails
What are the meal options?
Statler Chicken (Roasted Wingtip/Bone in Chicken Breast (GF, NF), Mushroom Marsala (GF,DF,NF), Served with Boursin mashed potatoes and baby carrots
Braised Short Ribs (GF, NF) with red wine demi-glaze and horseradish cream, served with Broccolini
Grilled Portobello, served with harvest grains, red, black and white quinoa, brown rice and Mediterranean relish (Vv, GF, DF, NF, SF)

A parking ramp is kitty corner from the venue. We will have volunteers to help guests make their way to our Northwoods Gala.
