Boundary Waters Day at the Capitol
January 20, 2027 – SAVE THE DATE!

Join us at the Minnesota State Capitol to stand up for the Boundary Waters and meet with your legislators alongside fellow Minnesotans who care about clean water.

Last year, federal protections for the Boundary Waters were rolled back, and Minnesota answered with an executive order and a canceled Twin Metals lease. Now we’ll tell the new governor and legislature: protect the Boundary Waters, permanently.

Now we need to keep that momentum going. A new governor and legislature take office in January, and they need to hear from us early: Minnesotans want the Boundary Waters protected, permanently. Whatever your party, this is about the water we all share. We’ll help you set up meetings, and provide a training to talk to your elected officials.

Want to do even more? Sign up to volunteer for the day. You can help with check-in, guide groups to legislative meetings, or lend a hand at our evening reception at Dual Citizen Brewing Company.

Registration and more details are coming soon. Questions? Contact Signe at signe@friends-bwca.org.
