Tell Walz to take the first step to stop Twin Metals

Congress has voted to strip crucial protections from the Boundary Waters, but Minnesota can fight back. The DNR has both the legal authority and fiduciary duty to cancel one of Twin Metals’ state mineral leases. Canceling this lease would not put an end to the Twin Metals project, but it would be a crucial first step. This action would be the precedent that could lead to the State canceling all of Twin Metals’ State leases in the coming years. This is a long game that starts today! 

But Governor Walz needs to hear from you. Tell him to direct the DNR to act, stand up to federal overreach, and protect the Boundary Waters for generations to come.
