Join this lunchtime webinar to learn more about the origins of folk schools, specifically the Ely Folk School located in Ely, MN and North House Folk School located in Grand Marais, MN. Guests Lucy Soderstrom and Jessa Frost will discuss the power folk schools have in bringing community members together to learn from each other while also connecting to the landscape of northern MN, including the BWCA. Friends’ Communities Coordinator, Riley Smith, will facilitate this webinar and include anecdotes of the importance of those traveling to the Boundary Waters and how they can be more involved in the communities they are visiting.
