Celebrate fall with your Ely neighbors at Paths and Pumpkins Community Night, a family-friendly pumpkin carving contest and Halloween night hike at Kawishiwi Falls. Carve a pumpkin at home, then bring it to the trail to be part of Ely’s community pumpkin display. You can enter a pumpkin, come to the hike, or both!

Want to be part of the Paths and Pumpkins Community Night pumpkin display? Sign up by October 16 to get a free, locally grown pumpkin to carve at home.

• Pick up: October 19–21 at the Friends office, 8 E Sheridan St. Delivery may also be possible.
• Return: October 29 by 5:30 PM at Kawishiwi Falls Trailhead, or anytime that day at the Friends office.

During the night hike, the community will vote for favorites in four categories: Most Creative, Most Detailed, Best of Ely, and All Around Favorite. Each category winner will receive a prize, with the All Around Favorite taking home the grand prize. Prizes include gift cards and items from local Ely businesses.

Community Night Hike

When: Thursday October 29 from 6–7:30 PM
Where: Kawishiwi Falls Trailhead, 444 Fernberg Rd, Ely

Walk the trail, see the community’s carved pumpkins, and vote for your favorites. The pumpkins will line the trail as you make your way through the woods, creating a fun way to celebrate Halloween and the changing season with your neighbors.

Free and open to all. No registration needed.
