Why this moment is different
Trump’s allies in the U.S. House have passed a bill that would gut two decades of federal clean water protections and open the Superior National Forest to copper-sulfide mining. The federal safety net that has long shielded the Boundary Waters is under direct attack.
That’s why Minnesota must act. Our state has the power to build its own layer of protections — strong, durable safeguards that no administration in Washington can strip away. This hearing is a critical step in that fight, and we need Minnesotans in the room.
