Frank Bures is a writer based in Minneapolis and the author of Pushing the River: An Epic Battle, a Lost History, a Near Death, and Other True Canoeing Stories. He is the former trips director and camp naturalist at YMCA Camp Olson, and was on the support crews for both the 2021 and 2023 Guinness World Record teams for the paddling Mississippi River.
