Canoe Raffle

Win a 17′ Northstar Seliga canoe and other fabulous Prizes!

Are you ready to paddle into the heart of Minnesota’s lake country? We’ve got an incredible opportunity for you to win a handcrafted NorthStar Seliga Boundary Waters canoe, along with other locally-made gear, with proceeds benefitting the Friends of the Boundary Waters.

Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at Minneapolis Cider Co.

If you’re a canoe aficionado, you know that canoe-craftsman Ted Bell is more than just a builder; he’s a true icon in the world of paddling. Canoes are Ted’s life, and his passion shines through in every boat he creates. As a former champion racer and the founder of Bell Canoe Works, Ted’s return to building after a six-year hiatus is a momentous occasion for anyone who appreciates the art and craftsmanship of a well-made canoe. This canoe was personally donated by Ted!

Seliga canoes have been cherished by generations for their meticulous construction, classic hull shape, and beautiful recurved stems. When Joe Seliga was ready to pass on his legacy, he sought out Bell and Northstar to ensure that his time-honored design would continue in lightweight materials. And now, here it is again – your chance to own a piece of this enduring legacy.

A lucky second place winner will receive a pair of Glorud Design paddles, crafted by Josh Rude, a former pastor turned carpenter whose studio sits right on the shores of Lake Superior. Our third place winner will take home a versatile Frost River canoe bag, perfect for keeping essentials dry on any paddling adventure.

The drawing will be held August 3. And while you need not be present to win, you’ll want to be there! The cider will be flowing, and the drawing will be at the center of other summer games – the Olympics in the taproom!

So, whether you’re a dedicated paddler, a collector of beautiful boats, or simply someone who appreciates the fine craftsmanship and heritage of Minnesota’s canoe culture, you’ll want to get in on this raffle. Head over to Minneapolis Cider Co., secure your tickets, and dream of the adventures you’ll have in your very own Northstar Seliga Canoe, built by the hands of a true master.

Best of luck in the raffle – and happy paddling!
