Clean Water Coalition
Minnesota’s lakes, rivers, and streams—including the pristine Boundary Waters—face their greatest threat in decades from toxic copper-nickel-sulfide mining. The Clean Water Coalition is fighting back!
Stand up for the boundary waters and minnesota’s fresh waters
Friends of the Boundary Waters Clean Water Coalition is working in partnership to protect the clean waters of the BWCA, Lake Superior, Voyageurs N.P., Superior National Forest, Quetico Provincial Park, the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers, Lake Mille Lacs and the rest of Minnesota’s 10,000+ lakes, and over 90,000 miles of rivers and streams. We need your support to help us win strong and permanent protections for clean water and the BWCA! We offer a variety of opportunities to members of the Clean Water Coalition including:
- Monthly Zoom meetings to engage with state legislators, policymakers, other community members and civic leaders, and other businesses and nonprofit organizations.
- Have the Friends team present in your space or collaborate on another advocacy event.
- Host a display case including brochures and/or stickers from Friends of the Boundary Waters.
- Clean Water Coalition window cling for business/window.
- Quarterly newsletter including member spotlights.
- Participating in lobbying opportunities at the Minnesota and U.S. Capitols.
We look forward to having you join our team to protect what makes Minnesota great – our clean water! We’d love to meet with you to discuss our priorities and how you can be involved and would be thrilled to work with you!
