World Water Day Webinar – Protecting Clean Water in Minnesota

Virtual - Zoom

World Water Day

As Climate Change worsens, clean water will become the world’s most critical resource. According to some reports, by 2025 over half of the global population could be facing water scarcity. This is already being seen in the United States with record droughts in California and other states attempting to buy Minnesota’s clean water.

In this informative webinar, we’ll celebrate clean water — and discuss the threats, and ways that we can fight for clean water.

We’ll also discuss legislation (SF 3633/HF 3888) that would appropriate funds to the University of Minnesota to create a State Water Plan to ensure that Minnesota has an abundant supply of clean water for the next 50 years. This bill was introduced by Senator Jen McEwen and Representative Kelly Morrison.
